As we approach the end of the 2025–2026 school year, we wanted to share several important upcoming dates with our dance families.
Please refer to this post for important end-of-year and summer schedule dates. Additional details will be added here as they are confirmed.
Showcase Dress Rehearsal
What: Showcase Dress Rehearsal
Dates: (You will not attend each day. Your student will participate only during their own regularly scheduled class time)
- Pre-Primary Ballet, Primary Ballet, Ballet Foundations: Monday, May 11; Tuesday, May 12; Wednesday, May 13; Thursday, May 14; and Saturday, May 16
- Intermediate A: Monday, May 18
- Intermediate B and Intermediate C: Tuesday, May 19
Details: Students will attend dress rehearsal on the regular day and time of their own class listed above. Please make sure your student arrives in their regular class uniform, with their hair prepared as it will be worn for the showcase. During class, students will put on their showcase costumes near the end of class and complete a full run-through at the studio. There are no makeup days for dress rehearsal.
One parent or guardian may join us for the final portion of class to watch and film the rehearsal for the student’s at-home practice and reference. Please note: video recording is not allowed during the showcase performance.
Photo Day | Tacoma Campus
What: Photo Day
Date: Friday, May 22, 2026
Details: We will be hosting a free optional Photo Day on Friday evening at our main Tacoma campus. Families from our Orting location are welcome to participate as well. During this time, parents will have the opportunity to take a few posed photos of their student in their showcase costume using their own phone or camera.
Memorial Day | Classes Running as Scheduled
What: Memorial Day classes (classes will run as normal)
Date: Monday, May 25, 2026
Details: Classes will be held on Memorial Day. We understand if Monday students cannot attend due to holiday plans, but we encourage students to come if possible since it is the last class before showcase.
Last Class of the 2025-2026 School Year
What: Last day of classes for the 2025–2026 school year
Date: Thursday, May 28, 2026
Details: This is the final day of regularly scheduled classes for the school year.
Spring Showcase | SSD Fundraiser
What: Spring Showcase

Details: Specific showcase times for each class will be announced in April.
Note: There will be No Saturday Classes on this day.
Registration Opens | 2026-2027 School Year
What: Registration opens for the 2026–2027 school year

Details: Registration will open on the same day as our Spring Showcase Fundraiser. Classes begin September 7, 2026
2026 Summer Break
What: Summer Break begins
Date: June 1, 2026 through September 6, 2026
Details: While our regular school-year schedule ends, we will have a few optional special offerings in June, plus summer maintenance classes later in the summer. Details below.
June Special Offerings | Dance Intensives and Princess Camp
What: Princess Ballet Camp
Dates: Monday, June 8, 2026 and Monday, June 15, 2026
Details: Open to Pre-Primary Ballet and Primary Ballet students.
- Pre-Primary Ballet will meet on both Mondays from 4:30–5:30 p.m.
- Primary Ballet will meet on both Mondays from 5:35–6:35 p.m.
These will be fun classes filled with dance, activities, stories, and more. Students are welcome to come dressed in their regular class attire or as their favorite princess.
What: Ballet Foundations – Summer Dance Intensive
Dates: June 8, 9, 10, & 11 2026 | 5:00-7:00pm
Details: Open to current Ballet Foundations students. Each day will include a ballet technique class, along with an additional dance style that may include jazz, hip hop, contemporary, and more. Music used for the alternative classes will be age-appropriate and Christian. This is a fun opportunity for students to continue learning, growing, and strengthening their skills during the summer. Classes will be taught by dancers from Paradosi Ballet Company.
What: Summer Dance Intensive | Prep Classes for Intermediate A, B, & C
Dates: June 9, 11, 16, 18 | 5:30-7:00pm
Details: We strongly encourage eligible students to attend, as these classes will help them maintain their technique, strength, and stamina between their last class in May and the Summer Dance Intensive at the end of June.
What: Paradosi Ballet Company | Summer Dance Intensive
Dates: June 21–27, 2026
Details: Open to dancers ages 11–21 with 3 or more years of ballet training. Click for More Info

Summer Ballet Maintenance Classes | (optional)
What: Summer Ballet Maintenance Classes (optional)
Dates: Mondays Only | Session 1: July 13, 20, 27 | Session 2: August 10, 17, 24 (Dates subject to change)
Details: These classes are designed to help students maintain strength, flexibility, and technique, while retaining what they have learned so they are prepared when the next school year begins.
Maintenance classes will be offered one day per week in two three-week sessions with a short break between sessions. Minimum enrollment applies. Students will remain in the same level they just completed this year and not the level that they may be moving into in the fall since no new material will be built upon.
