We are grateful to share that our studio has been officially recognized as a DA:NCE Awareness Healthy Dance Directory for our ballet classes offered at our dance studio in Tacoma. This recognition reflects our commitment to age-appropriate, child-centered dance education. We prioritize healthy development and protect the dignity of childhood through thoughtful choices in curriculum, music, costuming, choreography, and communication.

In much of the dance world, young students are sometimes pushed to grow up too soon through music, costuming, movement, and performance themes that are not age appropriate. Dance is a beautiful art form, but childhood is also beautiful and worth protecting.

A healthy dance environment should help students grow in confidence, discipline, artistry, and joy without asking them to imitate maturity they are not ready for. Parents should feel comfortable asking questions about music choices, choreography, costumes, classroom culture, and the overall values being modeled.
